16 March 2021 marks ten years since a Saudi-led military force rolled into Bahrain at the ruling family's request to help put down and ultimately crush the anti-government uprising which gripped the Gulf kingdom in 2011.

Jawad Fairooz a former member of parliament and leading member of El Wufalc, the country's leading and largest Shia opposition group, was arrested, spending more than three months in custody. This short animation brings to light the torture he endured.
